HUMOR – How to NOT spike a football.

I admit it, I was one of the members of the media that covered the XFL‘s Orlando Rage during the league’s one and only season. Sure, I could show you a couple of photos of the plays, and sometimes they really played some decent football, for a play or two per game, or some of the cheerleaders, or the parties that took place in the stands at the Citrus Bowl. However, this one photo of an attempted post touchdown spike, to me, sums up the concept that was the XFL.

How NBC/Golf Channel covers a golf tournament.

I really wanted to hang out waiting for the camera operator to stand behind the camera when he was using it, but he didn’t in the couple of minutes I had to capture this image. This tower primarily covered the 16th, 17th, and 18th holes during the 2008 Arnold Palmer Invitational at Bay Hill Golf Club.

Shiloh Cemetery in Sanford Florida, November 1999

I came across the Shiloh Cemetery back in 1998 and always knew there was a forgotten cemetery in  Sanford but I wasn’t able to find out where it was. One day a friend in law enforcement told me that vandals had struck again and wanted to know if I could help document the desecration.

I visited Shiloh about a dozen times or so over the next year or so. No, I wasn’t afraid to walk around as in do I think it is haunted, because MANY of the graves have been disturbed, and yes, human remains were visible, both in the crypts and on the ground. I was more concerned about were I was stepping because you could see barely sunken ground which signified that the coffin underneath had decayed enough that it had collapsed.

One day I would like to go back to Shiloh to photograph how it appears today. Have no idea if it is once again over grown or if local politicos kept their promise to provide upkeep of the grounds.
