Happy Throwback Thursday and National Sibling Day.

Me and my brother David getting ready to trick or treat in either 1970 or 1971. This is when we still lived on Ponca Trail in Maitland, before we moved on up to Lake Maitland in 1972. #lepowphoto #maitland #halloween #nationalsiblingday #brother

How steep is Florida’s Sugarloaf Mountain?

“Iron Joe” Bonness pedals past one of the more scenic parts of the world famous Sugarloaf Mountain in Lake County, Florida during a 140.6 mile (2.1 mile swim, 112 mile bike, 26.2 run) triathlon on October 23, 2004.

Who said ouch first, the steer or the cowboy?

I used to cover the Silver Spurs Rodeo, which is the largest rodeo East of the Mississippee, both in the amount of participants, and the puree. I love the lines of this image. BTW, since I don’t speak steeranese I have no idea if the steer yelled ouch first or not.

From the archive: Drew Garabo at WTKS in Orlando

WTKS, 104.1fm used to broadcast from a very cramped studio just off of I-4 in Winter Park. This is a photo I created while the girls from a now defunct (yet still loved and adored by its legions of fans) magazine called Bitch Rag were visiting Drew Garabo one night.
